Lorelai woke up with a rash late last night. The on-call nurse recommended bathing her in case it was a topical irritation, so we did. We also decided to wash the sheets and her favorite stuffed animal, a white fluffy cat (that incidentally used to be mine when I was a little girl). Isn't it cute?
After her bath, her rash seemed better so we put Lorelai back to bed.
But instead of sleeping, she did this:
While she screamed, she gestured repeatedly for her cat, but it was still in the washing machine...
...so we tried giving her this:
But a teletubby wasn't good enough for Lorelai, so she threw it on the floor...
...and did more of this:
We also tried giving her this:

And this:
But, alas, Lorelai threw them both out of the crib...
...and did even more of this:
Finally we took her out of bed and let her hang out with us until the cat had dried sufficiently. Mystery Man then put her in bed, shut the door, and in 10 minutes we went back in to see that she had done this:
Ahh, the beloved fuzzy cat... At least she knows what she likes, right?

So cute! That's how Alex is with his blanket. It's all my fault too. At least you knew where the cat was. We left the blanket in nursery one Sunday and he cried for DAYS while we were trying to locate the nursery leader and the keys. Finally on Wednesday night our Bishop got angry and broke the cabinet open to get the blanket. Then Alex was quiet and we didn't hear a peep all night.
I love it. Angry Bishops can be so proactive! That's a good story. :) i think I'm going online to go fluffy cat shopping now...
Don't ever lost that cat!
Kudos to me! I was able to purchase a second fluffy cat for only $15 dollars. I wonder if she'll see the difference?
