Hot Husband

There are days when I think, "Wow, Mystery Man is hot!"

We had a big hornets nest right in our play structure. 4 different children have been stung. The last sting was really quite sad. We were playing "follow the leader" in the yard and I suggested Silas lead everyone to play in the play structure. He climbed right up into the fort and was immediately stung twice by angry hornets. He screamed, hollered, and cried, then sulked for a long time. And that night, 2 weeks after the first stings occurred, Mystery Man finally got some hornet spray and his own amazing protective clothing and went on a killing spree. I'm so glad that's over!

Bobcat

Ephraim recently earned his Bobcat award at Cub Scouts.

Lots of great friends were at the pack meeting, held at a local park.

Yard Progress

Most of you won't care about this post, but my parents might be interested to see the progress in our yard.

We seeded this portion of the lawn to grass. It's a bit sparse, but coming.

The entryway garden/fountain.
Some work in the backyard... new grasses/mulch in the circle, relaid the paving stones and mulched those.

Slowly but surely. :)

Advanced

I have a friend who is always excited that her child is "advanced." I smile and agree, but inwardly I role my eyes.

But now I want to ask, can her child do THIS? Jane is a genius. Ha!

Silas DOES Sleep

For weeks Silas has told us he doesn't ever fall asleep at night. His statement really bothered Azael. So one night Azael borrowed my camera and got some PROOF to convince Silas he was wrong (brothers love to be right, don't they?) I laughed out loud when I found these photos on my camera tonight!

Summer, Summer, Summer Time

Summertime is the greatest time! We've had a fun, beautiful, and busy summer.... I have enjoyed planning some fun activities for the kids. I've enjoyed the garden, reading some great books, visiting family, going to the pool, etc.
