Four Square

Our kids are obsessed with Four Square right now. I snapped a few photos:

Fancy Artwork

Some of Lorelai's artwork. I love the colors:

Rain Gutter Regatta

The kids had fun making boats and participating in the Raingutter Regatta last week. Ephraim cut a plastic peanut butter jar in half and won the entire competition. Yay Ephraim! Smart thinking. :)

REAL Tree Trimming

We had some large trees removed recently. Our arborist doesn't use any trucks; instead, he climbes the trees with ropes. It's fun to watch. Here he is 30 feet up in an old, nearly dead oak tree. He has lots of ropes & carabiners hanging from his waste, a water bottle, and even a chainsaw. He has giant boots with spikes in them so he can climb all over the tree. He has a pruning saw strapped to his shin. Pretty fancy. Several neighbors came by to watch him work. If you ever need a great arborist...

Ephraim's Big Win!

After a 3-year hiatus from soccer, Ephraim wanted to play again. He really improved so much, despite not really playing for so long (maturity does a lot). His team didn't have the greatest season, however, until last night. After giving their all, Ephraim and the Royal Blue team was able to pull off their first WIN! Ephraim was SO EXCITED! Mystery Man took them out for ice cream afterwards to celebrate. Congratulations Ephraim!

We Are Having Fun

Azael, a hip 12-year-old.

He played "Milky White" the cow in his Middle School Play "Into the Woods." Here he is posing with part of his cow costume.

Jane has been doing her own hair lately...

Lorelai was over-the-moon excited for Mother's Day this year. She made plans upon plans and this was one of several cards she made. It says, "I hope you are having a good Mothers Day. I Love you in every way. I Love you. You are the best mother ever. Love Lorelai."

Not to be outdone, Silas folded a giant fan out of butcher paper... in this photo it has already been partially destroyed, but you get the idea. He even fanned me a bit.

Ephraim, Lorelai, and friend Lydia posing for crazy hair day.

Lorelai at soccer posing in her "boy pose."

And this is her "girl pose." (not sure how she figured out the difference, but maybe she has powers of observation none of the rest of us have. lol)

Jane found a cute hat to wear.

And the full array of colors looks very gypsy-like.

Ephraim, Silas & friends at a Cub Scout activity

Silas on the left and Ephraim on the right.
It's fun to see more outdoor, summer-esque pictures in this mix. I'm excited!
