Epic Fun

We had some Epic Fun with the Browns and Rothsteins this summer:

Be With You, Please?

Cora likes her parents. So it was no surprise when she figured out how to join me in the shower one morning.

Happy 15th

In June Mystery Man and I celebrated our 15th anniversary, which happens to fall on the Summer Solstice. We contemplated a naked bonfire, but figured that would be too risque, so we did the next best thing and called some friends who were around and could join us for a bonfire. We had kebabs and roasted our own meats and veggies. The kids stayed inside or at home and it was nice to have an adult conversation.

Ephraim turns 11!

Ephraim turned 11 back in June, which means he will be in Middle School next fall. He's growing up. We love him a lot. He is sweet, thoughtful, mostly helpful, an excellent big brother, funny, and more. He loves people and loves to chat. He enjoys board games, video games, soccer, art projects, and playing with plastic army guys. We love you Ephraim!

Sprinbrook

We had a family reunion at Springbrook State Park in Iowa back in June. It was a lot of fun to see everyone on Jen's side. A "special friend" named Barbie accompanied us on the trip, which we used to attempt to scare people. It worked a couple of times. Here she is on the roof of the van and also on Azael's bed (totally scared him!). The bottom picture is a decibel meter on Mystery Man's phone... the 17-year cicadas had come out and they were LOUD!

Barbie even got to ride on the roof of our van:

Iowa Trip

We recently went to Iowa for my grandma's funeral/a celebration of her life. Here is a picture of most of her posterity. Some great people and it was nice to all be together again.

We also flew kites...

...relaxed on the hammock...

...and drove the big lawnmower with Grandpa...

...and went fishing...

Iowa is a beautiful place with great people!
